07 Dec NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER 2016
Our women and children started the build up to Christmas with a recent photo session with lots of smiles and laughter.
If you would like to help out at this special time of year by giving a gift to a woman and her family we recommend gift cards of $20 each from any of the following stores/malls which they can use to treat themselves or their children – Warehouse, K-Mart, Farmers, 2 Degrees or Vodafone top ups, Countdown, Chartwell Shopping Centre, Centre Place, Te Awa (note there is no longer a Westfield in Hamilton) or movie passes to Hoyts or Sky Cinema. Please contact Gina on 07 282 0813 to arrange delivery.
To those of you who have already given generously a big thank you from us at RAW!
A time of year for giving thanks
Thank you to WINTEC and the University of Waikato which through scholarships provide our women a unique opportunity for a second chance education.
We also thank the employers who are giving our women a chance to achieve purpose and financial independence. Gallagher’s recently took on two of our women who are both enjoying being in the workforce.
Highlighting 2016’s achievements
The major achievements for our RAW women this year include:
3 moving into homes with their children, 6 in paid full-time employment, 5 for the first time
Work and Volunteering Opportunities
Over summer, our women and men who studied during the year are looking for paid work or employment experience -hairdressing, gym training, and labouring opportunities in the building sector – or volunteering opportunities.
If you can help with work please contact Tony on 027 4982 844 and for volunteering Gina on 07 282 0813.
