As a privately funded charity, RAW relies on the generosity of individuals, trusts and private organisations to help fund our good work. For as little as $5 a week or $20 per month you can help RAW do more of what it does best, transforming another life of crime into a life of promise.

RAW is setting up a payment gateway to take credit and debit card payments from December 2018. Email [email protected] your pledge of support and she will let you know once the payment gateway is ready for you to access on our website.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving

Is your employer set up for payroll giving? RAW 2014 Limited is on the list of approved IRD charitable organisations so it’s easy to set up. The advantage of donating through Payroll Giving is a 33% tax credit is returned to you immediately in the form of reduced PAYE so you don’t have to wait to claim your donation credit at the end of the tax year.

Donations can also be collected through our Give-A-Little page. Please note that Give-A-Little do take a 5% commission off all donations, and funds are not available to RAW for up to 30 days after the donation.

Meet Kate

Kate has gone from drug dealer to award-winning law student thanks to the RAW and all those who generously support our model.

“Without RAW I know exactly where I would be, back committing crime, addicted to drugs and not able to get out of that cycle.” 

Here are just some of the achievements that Kate has notched up in her first year of law school.

  • Winning two course-related competitions
  • Offered an internship at one of Waikato’s most prestigious law firms
  • Recognised by the dean as high merit and encouraged to apply for an overseas exchange programme for her fourth and final year of study

So how would Kate sum up the impact that RAW has had on her life?

“RAW has been life-changing.  It has inspired me to be and do so much more than I could ever have dreamed was possible.  I know I could have survived, but I would never have thrived.  Being surrounded by strong people that believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself, and having them expect me to achieve big goals even when nobody else was placing any expectations on me, has been the difference. Without RAW I probably wouldn’t dream so big, but the thing is they don’t even feel like big dreams anymore, more like an achievable plan because RAW is working alongside me.”
