RAW works with women who have been to prison; often multiple times and/or for long stretches.
To help women develop good decision-making skills, and provide opportunities for education, employment and reconnecting with children and supportive family members.
Breaking down intergenerational cycles of disadvantage and crime and replacing them with new opportunities and possibilities that create a lasting and positive flow on effect for generations to come.
RAW requires each woman to relocate to Hamilton, without their children, to fully invest in their reintegration. Here, they learn how to manage their responses to life’s challenges, engage in study and/or a meaningful career and provide a safe and loving home for their children.
RAW is continually developing its out of home support services. This includes facilitating employment opportunities and providing one-on-one coaching when life gets tough.
Is focused on developing a culture of hope and ambition for a better future earlier in a woman’s rehabilitation journey through skill-building workshops, events and study.
